We recently had a chance to sample the liquid pencil. Honestly it feels like a pen but the erasable graphite ink, which is equivalent to a No.2 pencil, says different. As we discussed previously, the ink is erasable and at this time we are seeing just how long before it becomes permanent. Sanford, the parent company of Sharpie, says 24 hours but we will just have to see for ourselves. Very good sources that are near and dear to us have said 3 days but now that we have our own to try we will report back with our results. In the wonderful world of Sharpie they have bought us great writing instruments. They are currently offering a giveaway at their site for free textbooks for a year for you and two friends. With their new Smear Guard Technology implemented in their highlighters and their brand new Liquid Pencils they are definetly looking to take over the school market once and for all.
The Liquid Pencil is currently only available at Office Depot, Sharpie.com, and Amazon. Grainger carries the refill cartridge tanks for the pencils.
