Now that the pre-orders have come and gone, the official launch day is actually upon us.   Effective yesterday, Sprint’s first LTE devices are now available for purchase with the Galaxy Nexus & the Viper.   Sprint’s Nexus is identical to Verizon’s model making it the official high-end Android device for Sprint while the Viper is yet another entry-level Android device armed with NFC & Google Wallet support.  The Viper will cost users $99.99 on contract while the Nexus will require $199.99 on contract.

Don’t worry interested VZW customers, we hear they will drop their price as well thanks to this.  It is imperative to keep in mind that Sprint’s 4G LTE network has yet to launch so don’t expect to see blazing speeds just yet.   But know that it is coming.
