As the carrier announced earlier within the year, it is nearly upon us.   Verizon’s shared family data plans will become available on June 28th for all customers, new or existing.   Dubbed the ‘Share Everything’ family plan, VZW offers unlimited voice, text, & your choice of data (ranging from 1GB to 10GB) that can be shared up to 10 devices.

  • 1GB shared data – $50
  • 2GB shared data – $60
  • 4GB shared data – $70
  • 6GB shared data – $80
  • 8GB shared data – $90
  • 10GB shared data – $100

Pricing can get expensive depending on how many you have in your shared plan and how high you want the data cap to be.   For example, a family w/ 3 iPhones will cost $40 per device and say you want everyone to have 2GB of data each line.  The 6GB plan will add on another $80 so you are already at $200 monthly before the standard fees & taxes applied to your monthly bill.  I think VZW should have gave the option of a lower minute plan like sharing 2000 minutes or so to fit some people’s needs as most subscribers do more texting & on data than actually talking so the unlimited minutes isn’t really benefiting anyone.
