During Sprint’s Q2 conference earnings call, the carrier made a mention of the newest Android device from Motorola with the Photon Q.   Shortly afterwards, the carrier made full announcement with all of the details you want to know about the device, minus pricing & availability.   The Photon Q will be Sprint’s first LTE Android device with a QWERTY keyboard.  Now for all of the specs.

The new Q is armed with a 4.3inch ColorBoost display w/ qHD resolution, powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, running Android 4.0 ICS, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, front-facing HD camera + 8MP rear-facing camera capable of 1080p HD video, Sprint ID packs on-board, Motorola’s Smart Actions are present, NFC support, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.  The Photon Q is also Enterprise-friendly with corporate security access with pin lock, remote wipe, and data encryption.

We expect Sprint to offer more details on when and how much in ‘coming weeks’.  Good to see Sprint didn’t abandon the consumers who still prefer a QWERTY keyboard.
