This morning, Sonos announced their entrance into home theater solutions with the new Playbar. Sonos brings its audio expertise to all of your gaming, movies, & music needs. The Playbar is a sound bar equipped with 9 individually-amplified speakers consisting of 6 mid-woofers and 3 tweeters. As the press release says: “Hi-Fi meets Hi-Def.”
The Playbar like the other Sonos products are easy to setup. You can connect it to your TV using a single optical cable that recognizes any additional products plugged in like Blu-Ray players, game consoles, & cable boxes. You can easily control the volume using your Sonos controller via Android, iOS, Mac/PC as well as the volume control on your TV remote.
You might ask, “What about the Play or Sub products I already won?” Don’t worry, Sonos made sure that you can the Sub or the Play:3 to the Playbar setup as left & right speakers for a complete 5.1 home theater surround sound. Due out March 5th for $699 wherever Sonos products are sold. After recently reviewing the Play:3, definitely interested to see what the Sonos experience sounds like for movies of Black Ops 2.
