Today, Google began rolling out an update for the YouTube app for iOS.  This update isn’t just offering your typical bug fixes, its actually bringing something new to the tablet.  YouTube for iOS is playing catch up to the Android app with the new ‘Send To TV’ feature, they got back in November.

‘Send To TV’ is an AirPlay-like new treat that allows you to stream YouTube content from your device (smartphone or tablet) to the streaming device of your choice.   This works with Apple TV, Smart TVs,   PS3, Roku, and Xbox 360.  Just go into Settings on both devices (ex. iPhone and Xbox 360) to pair each other together and you are in business.  A very welcome addition.

The update also adds the YouTube Capture app within so you can access it from one app instead of two.  They also beefed up its streaming over slow Wi-Fi connections and improved stability and bug fixes.
