While the Z10 is marketed as BlackBerry’s new flagship device running the company’s newest OS, some may say the Q10 is the one many people are waiting for (consumer & enterprise). According to the folks over at Bloomberg, the company formerly known as RIM will sell the Q10 for $249 on contract instead of the typical $199 for a new device. This may sound like a bit of head-scratcher to command $50 more for their QWERTY device over the iPhone, Galaxy S4, etc. But this will not be a BlackBerry device aimed for the masses. This is to reclaim some or most of the enterprise users back from whatever platform they may have migrated to.
The Q10 is due out to launch sometime in May here in the US on all four carriers. Do you think the price tag is still too high to succeed? Or do they have a chance?
