Yesterday, Sony unveiled their latest in Cyber-Shot point-and-shoot cameras with the HX50V.   But this camera is armed with some unique features to make it stand out against the crowd.  For starters, Sony powered this Cyber-Shot with its BIONZ image processor, a 20.4MP Exmor-R CMOS sensor, a 3inch LCD display, ISO range of 100-12,800, 1080 HD video capture at 60p, a battery life of 400 shots, and a 24-720mm lens capable of 30x optical zoom.

Also on-board is a GPS & Wi-Fi radios to take advantage of Sony’s PlayMemories app.  Which you can use the compatible app for either Android or iOS.  You have a mode dial (P/A/S/M), exposure compensation dial, and a dedicated hotshoe for speedlights, external mics, or an electronic viewfinder.  The HX50V is due next month and will have a $450 price tag on it.  Sony continues to make wonders on the optical side of things.
