Earlier this week, Verizon’s take on an early upgrade plan leaked out and today they have made it official.  To combat AT&T and T-Mobile‘s new early upgrade plans, Verizon has an ‘edge’ on how their plan operates.  As we covered before, Verizon’s plan will require subscribers to pay off 50% of the device and then you can trade-in to upgrade after 6 months.   No monthly fees, no finance charges, or long-term contracts as it is more like a flexible installment plan.  However the plan does require interested subscribers to the Share Everything plan though.  The Verizon Edge program kicks off on August 25th for those looking to get into it.
