Thus far, the features on the Xbox One have been a huge improvement form the previous model.  They have definitely made it a more powerful machine  – damn, near neck-and-neck w/ the PS4.  One of the issues that has plagued Microsoft’s console in the past is overheating.  Many gamers including myself have experienced the dreaded ‘Red Rings Of Death’.  During an interview w/ Gizmodo, Xbox’s GM of console management hopes to have placed preventive measures to make it a rare or non-existent occurrence.

Leo del Castillo of Xbox stated that the architecture of the next-gen console will self-regulate to keep itself cool in a couple of ways.  One is by having the cooling fan kick up to maximum speed and the other is to automatically turn down the power levels to its lowest state.
The big question will be: how well does this actually work in real-world gaming/streaming?
