Earlier this week, Sony announced two new cameras: one a refresh on one of the popular NEX line of mirrorless cameras and the other a new type of mirrorless, form-factor.  Right now we will discuss the latest refresh w/ the NEX-5T.   The last model was the NEX-5R, adding a Wi-Fi capability and a new 99-point phase focal system.  They made sure to add more w/ the NEX-5T.

The NEX-5T now adds NFC and the 16-50mm Power Zoom lens tot he mix.  Along w/ that you still have a 16.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor, optical image stabilization, ISO range from 100-25,000 and the same 99-point fast hybrid auto-focus technology.  The NEX-5T has a new Smart Remote Control feature that allows you to view live images to your smartphone or tablet as well as use your device to control your camera as well.

The NEX-5T is due out in early September for $700 w/ the kit lens and $500 for just the body.
