Looks like Google’s Chromebooks have have found their target w/ lower $300 price points as the company is ready to roll out newer laptops running Chrome OS.  Today at intel’s Developers Forum, Google + Intel announced that more Chromebooks are on the way.  Also, they would be powered by Intel’s latest Haswell processor that offers high performance while not draining your battery.

No more Intel Atom CPUs for Chromebooks.

Google already has a few new Chrome OS-based products coming soon from Acer, ASUS, HP, & Toshiba.  Expect a new 11.6inch Acer laptop offering over 8-hours of battery life & weighs under 3lbs.  HP will offer a new Chromebook 14 that has a 14inch display w/ almost 10 hours of battery life, comes in a variety of colors & weighs in at just over 4lbs.  Toshiba is on deck for Chromebook as ASUS will offer a Chromebox.
Now all we need is better app selection – preferably for content creation and the big boys (Mac & Windows) may have some trouble on their hands.
