So you already know that today is new iPhone day and there will be lines and perhaps some craziness in these retailers.  But what about those of you out there who are in-between your contract but still want to make that colorful iPhone 5c or the iPhone 5s w/ Touch ID.  We have just the thing for you:  we have complied a listing of various sites and retailers where you can trade-in your current iPhone for some $$$ back towards a new one.

Of course you will have to put some of your own $$$ towards it but you need it and you need it now!

The #1 online retailer of course has a trade-in program and it is pretty good.  You can lock-in your trade-in amount until October 31st and you don’t have to mail -in your old one until you get your new one.  You can get up to $342 for an iPhone 5 16GB model and $242 for a 16GB iPhone 4S.  

Apple

With the home base, you can trade-in more than just iPhones, you can trade-in your old iPads, laptops or desktops as well.  In exchange for an Apple gift card based on the value of the item.  Your 16GB iPhone 4S can get up to $215 while your iPhone 5 can get you up to $325.

Starting today, customers can can trade-in their iPhone 4 or 4S towards $100 off of the 16GB iPhone 5c.  You must be eligible for an upgrade and are subject to AT&T, Sprint , & Verizon.  No deals for the 5s though.  
GameStop

You can trade-in your old electronics towards games or for $$$ at GameStop.  For an iPhone 5, you can get up to $427 in-store credit or $340 in $$$.  While the 4S will get up to $290 in-store credit and $232 in $$$.

The popular online site that pays $$$ for your old electronics – new or broken.  They will take devices from multiple manufacturers as well so that’s good news for you gadget hoarders out there.  You can get up to $310 for a 16GB i5 and up to $190 for your 16GB i4S.  This is more ideal for iPhone 5 owners.  

Walmart

Good ol’ Wally World has a trade-in program as well that kicks off on Saturday.  You can trade-in any smartphone from various manufacturers and get from $50 all the way up to $300 towards your new iPhone.

You know you want one.

While there are plenty of places and online resources that offer trade-ins, not all of them give you the best bang for your buck.  If you truly want the most $$$ for your older iPhone, eBay and Craigslist are probably the best routes to go with.
