Lenovo’s ThinkPad brand has been synonymous w/ being one of the best Windows experiences on a laptop – for work or personal use.  Yesterday, Lenovo announced three new additions to the ThinkPad brand w/ the S440/S540, the T440/T440S, & the X240.  All offering a 20% thinner body, a 45% bigger trackpads, & battery life up to 17 hours.  Let’s see what each of the laptops have to offer, shall we?

This time, Lenovo is focusing on performance while still boosting your battery life.
The S440 + S540 are intended for small business on the go.  Both models will offer a full HD touchscreen display, powered by the latest 4th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU, and enhanced graphics.  The 14inch S440 and the 15inch S540 will launch in Europe & Asia at first within the September/October timeframe.  No word on when these two making it to the US.
The T440 + T440S are for the more business professional users.  These two 14inch laptops are the more ideal ultrabooks as they are lighter + thinner than the previous models.  There isn’t too much difference between the two of them.  The T440 offers a 14inch HD+ optional touchscreen display and a Core i5 CPU while the T440S has a 14inch full HD touchscreen display and a Core i7 CPU on-board.  The T440 starts at $899 and the T440S starts at $1,149 as both are due out at the end of October.  
The X240 is crafted for the on-the-go professional.  This has a 12.5inch full HD display w/ optional touchscreen addition, powered by the latest Core i7 CPUs, backlit keyboard, a full range of ports on a smaller body, and up to 1TB of storage.  The X240 will also be available at the end of October for $1099.  
To assist w/ the battery management on all of their newer models, Lenovo introduces their new Power Bridge technology.  This new tech allows users to swap out their external batteries without having to shut down your computer.  Lenovo uses both an internal & external battery in order to achieve this.  Nicely done.  This along w/ the new Haswell Intel CPUs, they are all about battery life.
