Today Sony unveiled their next flagship Android device to the masses at IFA in Berlin.   After being leaked and teased countless times it is time to meet the new Xperia Z1.  Codenamed the Honami, the new Xperia Z1 takes everything you already knew and loved about Sony’s mobile powerhouse and made it even better.  Working w/ a 5inch 1080p HD Triluminous display, powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, running Android 4.2.2. w/ Sony’s custom skin on top, 16GB of storage expandable to 64GB via microSD, NFC, and a 3000 mAh battery.  But there is more to this than what’s just under the surface.

Sony wants to take on the Lumia 1020 w/ their new 20.7MP camera sensor on-board.

One of the many highlights of the Xperia Z1 is the rear shooter.  On the back is the Sony G Lens that has a 20.7MP CMOS sensor w/ f/2.0 aperture along w/ a separate BIONZ mobile CPU for image processing.  Offering you super fast shutter speeds and great low-light photos on a camera.  The new shooter comes w/ new software features like TimeShift Burst and many more.

The Xperia Z1 is set to ship w/ 5 free movies along w/ an exclusive access to the movie Elysium.  You also get a 2-month free trial of Sony Music Unlimited service.  The new Xperia is set to arrive in Black, White, & Purple colors.  No word on launch times or availability as of yet but we will keep you guys informed.
