Earlier today, Sprint announced their new technology they have been working on behind closed doors.  Introducing Sprint Spark: a new network that combines three 4G LTE bands (800MHz, 1.9GHz, & 2.5GHz) for faster speeds.  During their testing, they got speeds up to 1Gbps over-the-air in their facility in Silicon Valley.  While you may not get those speeds at launch but you can expect up to 60Mbps over LTE.

As of earlier today, it is already available in the 5 markets of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Tampa, & Miami.  Sprint expects to expand up to 100 million subscribers by the end of next year.  What devices are compatible with Spark?  Sprint will launch the Samsung Galaxy Mega, Galaxy S 4 mini, the LG G2, & HTC One Max.  The Galaxy devices will have access after a software update.  The G2 will get its update sometime next year.  The One Max is coming soon to the carrier but no word on availability.
Happy to hear Sprint getting their network in better shape in regards to high-speed mobile data.  Any Sprint subscribers excited about this news?  Let us know.
