Great way to start the morning!  Word on the street is that Google is prepping to kick off part 2 of their plans for the Hangouts app.  We previously spoke about Google planning to add native SMS/MMS texting through the Hangouts app.  The folks over at Android Police got the scoop along w/ a few screenshots that show off timestamps and all.  The MMS abilities open up the possibilities to video sharing as well.   This last bit maybe not arrive in the upcoming v1.3 update.

We expect the new version of Hangouts to arrive w/ the official unveiling to Android 4.4. Kit Kat and the new Nexus.  This puts us one step closer to Hangouts replacing 3 apps (Google+ Messenger, Google Talk, & Messaging).  Up next, hopefully, will be built-in Google Voice integration.
