Earlier this evening, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was a guest on CBS show 60 Minutes where he unveiled some interesting news coming soon to online retailer.  Within the next few years, he hopes have his Prime Air service available that allows packages up to 5 lbs to be delivered via octocopter drone.  Don’t expect the reality to come to fruition for at least another few years.

Amazon to challenge the post office and Domino’s by having your package delivered in 30 minutes via Prime Air drone.  

Bezos hopes to have a fleet of Prime Air drones in the air as early as 2015 pending the FAA’s rules + regulations of unmanned aerial vehicles.  This along w/ the company’s recent endeavors have turned Amazon into quite the company.  We are entering a brave new future.

Maybe they can get this whole teleportation thing going – that would be nice too.  See the Prime Air in action in a demo video below.
