I know some of you are still reveling over the Motorola $2.9 billion acquisition by Lenovo. During the Lenovo conference call, more details about the deal came to light. Google will keep one part of Motorola w/ their Advanced Technology & Projects group. Many of you may have never heard of this group before but you have heard of one of their concepts called Project Ara.
Along w/ the group Google will retain all of the patents along with it as well. The Advanced Technology & Projects group will become integrated into Google’s Android team. Looks like Google kept one of the more interesting parts of Motorola and Project Ara is moving full-steam ahead. Definitely exciting news.
