amazonphone Last week we gave you some details on when we should expect to see the  unveiling + availability for Amazon’s forthcoming smartphone.  Thanks to the folks over at BGR, we now have more insight on the look, design, and some of the the specs for it.  Now what we’re actually seeing in the image above is the device within a protective casing to prevent unwanted eyes to see the design of the phone in full.  But there is enough exposed to get an idea.

We can see a 4.7inch 720p display aligning itself w/ the Moto X in size at least.  Powered by a currently unknown Snapdragon CPU w/ 2GB of RAM, Amazon’s phone will offer a total of 6 cameras: 5 on the front (4 low-power infrared sensors for the device’s 3D UI + 1 front-facing) & one 16MP shooter on the rear.  The device shown above will be the flagship device as Amazon will follow it up with a more affordable entry-level device arriving later this year after this one launches.

If the announcement is happening in June, we won’t have to wait much longer as we expect more leaks to slip through the cracks as the time gets closer.

What do you guys think of it so far?  Or do you need to see more?
