Today in NYC, Microsoft gathered members of the tech press for a small unveiling. Many believed it was going to be the Surface Mini but we are all wrong. Introducing the even-more powerful Surface Pro 3 – even further blurring the line between the laptop and tablet.

Microsoft just declared war on other tablets claiming to be the most productive.

Now rocking a bigger 12inch display w/ 2K resolution (2160 x 1440), powered by a 4th-gen Intel CPU (choice between a Core i3, i5, or i7), Mini Display Port, microSD card slot, USB 3.0 port, choice of 4GB or 8GB of RAM, as well as 64GB to 512GB of storage.

Also new kickstand now offers a friction hinge that allows you to choose a preferred angle – from 0 to 150 degrees. The new Type Cover keyboard accessory arrives in 5 colors and has a bigger trackpad. Be on the lookout for a docking station for the new Surface as well.

And lastly, the Surface Pen puts other types of stylus to shame. It has a truly authentic pen experience w/ zero delay between pen stroke and seeing it on display. Consider this the Courier dream fulfilled.

Pricing starts at $799 and goes up from there depending on your configuration. Pre-orders start tomorrow morning at 12:01AM EST on the MicrosoftStore.com and Best Buy May 21st in the US. The Pro 3 goes on sale on June 20th here in the states + Canada and by the end of August overseas.
