PS-Now

As part of the bigger news at Sony’s E3 keynote, the new cloud-based streaming service PlayStation Now now has an ETA – sort of. They announced that beta for the streaming service will kick off on July 31st for the PS4. PS3 + PS Vita owners will gain access sometime afterwards.

Sony’s Answer To Playing Older Games On Your PS4 Coming Late July.

To kick things off, gamers will have access to over 100 games like Dead Space 3, God Of War: Ascension, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, and Ultra Street Fighter 4 to name a few. Those w/o a PS device can access PlayStation Now by using a DualShock 3 controller from the PS3 and select Sony Bravia TVs.

PS Now would act as a more like an online rental service where you play the game and then have an option to buy it.  Pricing would range from $2.99 to $19.99 depending on the game w/ options for subscription plans to arrive later.

If you haven’t signed for beta access, you can do so here.
