Today is the day to get your hands on the new iPhones (or at least try to anyways).  Your choices: the 4.7inch iPhone 6 or the 5.5inch iPhone 6 Plus.   Both are quite similar other than size other than a few differences.  Availability for both models has been a hard to come by but it's been easier for the iPhone 6.  Unless you were one of the lucky ones to successfully pre-order last week or scored one today waiting in line.  While you now have 2 new iPhones to choose from, now its time to choose - for those buying one.

i5s vs i6

Size

This will be the same issue for those who preferred the Galaxy over the Galaxy Note.  The bigger size is just too big for some.  Despite the features and other benefits, many just want an iPhone they can use comfortably in one-hand.  Even though Apple did move the Power button to the right, it doesn't need to feel massive.  Nor does it need to feel like you're putting a phone the size of a video game case.  I know i'm exaggerating but that's how many people feel about bigger phones.

Price

This is probably the most important factor: money spent on a new iPhone.  Everyone who has ever purchased an iPhone is used to seeing that starting price of $199.99 on contract.  Going to that iPhone 6 Plus will tack on an extra $100 to that starting price.  And unless you also own an iPad of sorts, you're not buying a 16GB model.  So if this ins't your 1st iPhone, you'll be picking up the 32 64GB storage size.  For the 6 it will cost you only $299.99 while the 6 Plus will cost you $399.99 on contract.  When you add upgrade fees and taxes, it can get pricey.

Software

Apple is notorious for making things super-simple for its users as they have grown used to what to expect from them.  The new software UI in the 6 Plus is a bit of a curveball that won't be a dealbreaker for those shooting to buy the 6 instead of the 6 Plus.  This also ties in w/ those who may already own an iPad.  Many people don't really care for the dual-paned UI for select apps on the 6 Plus.  If they want that, they'll use their iPad.  Many just want the standard iOS 8 and everything new that comes w/ it.  Nothing fancy just the basics.

iphone-6-pr

The iPhone 6 is a moderate size iOS device.  Being 4.7inches is the current 'perfect' device in our eyes for many devices bigger than a 4inch both stepping into 'phablet' size.  While 6 is great for those who just wanted a slightly bigger iPhone to enjoy the apps, games, media, etc.  If none of this matter to you, then by all means spend a little more $$ and pick up the 5.5inch iPhone 6 Plus.
