harmony 2014 updated remotes 2
Earlier this morning, Logitech unveiled a new addition to their Harmony remote family. Introducing the Harmony Living Home lineup. Although it doesn’t look too different from the remotes Logitech already have out in the market right now as it now can control more.

This expands control beyond just entertainment and adds home automation features to the mix.

So now you can use either your new remote or your smartphone (depending on which Harmony you purchase) to control everything in your smart home. Giving you one tool to control your Nest thermostat, Hue lighting, Schlage or Kwikset smart locks and more.

The top of the line Ultimate Home remote still retains the same 2.4inch touchscreen for $349.99. While the remote w/o a touchscreen will cost you $149.99 as it ships w/ the Harmony Hub which more like a smart receiver. The Hub can be bought by itself for only $99 too. Also there’s a Hub extender for $129 that allows for those w/ ZigBee or Z-Wae devices to use it as well.

Everything but the extender (ships in December) will be available sometime this month for Android. Support for iOS is in the works and coming soon.
