Microsoft isn’t done w/ just the Lumia 735 + 830, they also revealed details of their upcoming Windows Phone update codenamed Denim. For starters, Microsoft is taking Cortana to the next level to better go head-to-head w/ Google Now. You will soon be able to say the key phrase “Hey Cortana” to activate here a la “OK, Google” form Google Now. This will even work when the device is on standby.
Next up, Lumias also hold the crown for the best camera in the smartphone game but they’re still improving so it can retain its crown. Other than usual enhancement s and such, they have now added Auto HDR + Dynamic Flash to its long list of camera features alongside support for 4K video recording @24fps. And lastly, the Glance Screen feature gets updated to show Bing Weather + Health/Fitness, notifications, & app data as well. Definitely a nice and welcomed update for all WP lovers out there.
Both the Lumia 735 + 830 will launch running the new Denim update while Denim’s camera features will arrive to the 930, 1520, and Icon. All Lumia devices should get the Denim update before the year is out.
