According to a report from Bloomberg, HTC’s upcoming October 8th event won’t be focused on a smartphone camera but an actual camera accessory. They’re saying that the company will reveal a 16MP wide-angle lens that connects to your Android or iOS device via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Think a mix of Go-Pro and Sony’s QX smart lenses.
The lens would be rugged to take a bit of a beating. Also, the waterproof tube-shaped camera attachment could arrive w/ a new camera optimized for ‘selfies’. Whatever they’re unveiling, we’ll be there live to share the news w/ you all.
