Welcome to our new feature called 'What's On Your Phone?'.  Here is where we and other tech enthusiasts will unlock our devices to highlight our essential apps and/or cases we use on our daily driver(s).

I have been running all of the day-to-day operations along with content & video for the site since 2010. But I wanted to drop a little bit of background on me before we proceed.  Prior to the site’s inception, I have been interested in all things electronic as far back as I can remember.  I think it had something to do w/ watching Bionic Six, reruns of the Adam West Batman show(which could contribute to the start of my Batman fandom), Centurions, Transformers, Go Bots, MASK, and Inspector Gadget.  I used to draw and I was pretty good w/ the Ebony pencil.   I studied Graphic Design in high school and then Communications during my stint at college.  Fast forward to my early 30s, I'm married and interests are tech, food, & startup life - in that exact order.

Now let's dive into what you came to see.

iPhone 5

While there are many phones in my stable, MY phone (the one I pay the bill for) is Apple's own: iPhone 5.  One of many ways it helps me stay connected to just about everything thanks to the massiveness of Apple's App Store.

TYLT Energi Sliding Power Case

Keeping my i5 powered up is TYLT's Energi Sliding Power Case.  Everyone knows that w/ all of the ups the iPhone has, battery is not one of them.  This helps get a full day of juice when I have those long days at my day gig or out-and-about at various press events.  Unless the iPhone 6 changes things, a battery case goes hand-in-hand w/ an iPhone.

Google Hangouts

My preferred way to chat these days.  I find myself using Hangouts more than standard texting as I have converted many of my friends over to it.  Even though it is more or less the same as SMS/MMS, I love it.

Twitter

twitter iOS app

This app is many things to me.  My RSS feed, means to reach out to colleagues/followers, etc.  I actually used to use TweetBot but then found myself going back to the native app time-and-time again.  But that's just me.

Google Play Music All Access

Many people use either Spotify or Rdio but for me, its all about Google Music.  I have my own playlists to rock out to and I can enjoy the latest music on Tuesdays.   This app definitely keeps me sane while working at my other job.  One of the very few subscriptions I pay for.

Fish Out Of Water

I'm more of a console game than playing on the phone.  I've tried, just not that interested.  There are a very few games I do have on my iPhone for when I have some time to kill or when nieces + nephews want to play on my phone.  It's cute little game that sees how far you skip a fish across the water.  Your scores are judged by crabs.  This is my mobile escape.

VSCO Cam

Not quite the simplicity of Instagram but I love this app.  VSCO Cam offers the ability to adjust exposure + focus points before shooting as well as a suite of grade A filters.  This is dedicated to editing as its not trying to compete w/ Instagram.  This is more of a photographer's mobile camera app.  Although I'm not a professional one, I still can enjoy it.

Buffer

This is my weapon to maintaining my online presence when I'm not really there.  They now suggest content to share as you can schedule your own content through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+ pages.  The service also works w/ IFTTT to get really creative w/ it.

So what apps or case do you have on yours?
