amazon fire stick
Earlier this morning, Amazon unveiled another piece to their streaming options w/ the new Fire TV stick.  You might ask why would I want this over the Chromecast or Roku’s streaming stick?  Amazon actually offers 2 reasons: a remote control and pricing.  For as little as $19 for Prime members for the next 2 days, you can pick this up as it ships w/ a dedicated remote control that lacks their awesome voice search though.  You can upgrade to the voice-enabled remote from the Fire TV for only $30 or use the FireTV Voice Remote app for Android or iOS for free.  For non-Prime members, expect to shell out $39 for it.

Inside of the Fire Stick lies a dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, dual-band WI-Fi for faster speeds, and ASAP (Advanced Streaming & Prediction) for instant streaming by automatically buffering videos for faster playback.   It will support content like Netflix, Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Twitch, VEVO, Watch Disney Channel, Plex, WatchESPN, NBA GameTime, Prime Music, Pandora, Spotify, and more.

The Fire TV Stick will begin shipping out on November 19th so you can pre-order it now.
