This year alone, digital music purchases have declined as streaming services is now the new way consumers consume music these days.  With Apple’s digital music sales declining in the iTunes store between 13% to 14% this year, you would think it would be time for them to change things up a bit on the music side of things.  Well according to the Wall Street Journal, Apple has a plan B already on board w/ Beats Music.

Apple has plans to relaunch the service as part of iTunes sometime next year as this will add a full-featured streaming service to Apple’s music service.  This adds fuel to the rumors of the Beats Music brand possibly disappearing in the process.  Beats Music is said to get integrated into iTunes and iTunes Radio to better take advantage of their music curation feature.   Reports also suggests that Apple will reveal a major music announcement sometime in early 2015.

Obviously Apple had plans for Beats Music all along.  Time will tell if the brand name will disappear within iTunes or not.
