Yesterday, we were able to attend Google's Lollipop showcase in NYC.  We were able to demo and check out all of their new goodies coming from Google.  This means the Nexus 6, the Nexus 9, and the Nexus Player.  Our focus, this time around is the Nexus 6.  We've now entered the 6th year and 6th version of Google's flagship.

Nexus 6

The Nexus 6 is a lot bigger than those of previous.  This is a 6inch device as this is aligned w/ the Note 4 and the iPhone 6 Plus.  This is a wide 6inch version of the Moto X.  Since its based off of the latest from Moto the only real differences are the 2K display, addition to OIS to the rear camera, and dual front-facing speakers.

Google's flagship gets an upgrade on all sides.

Google joins into the Quad HD revolution.  The 2K (260 x 1440 resolution) display is a Super AMOLED-based and it is beautiful.  While i still prefer IPS in regards to display preference. This is still a great-looking screen and is still future proof.

We still require more testing for the rear shooter to see if there's significant improvement.  But we can say that from our initial testing, that it is better than last year's Nexus 5.  We'll have a better answer to how much better and is it better than the Droid Turbo or the 2014 Moto X.
The battery life appears to be better at 1st glance as well but that's not the big deal.  The addition of Moto's Turbo Charging is.  This touts 6 hours of juice in 15 minutes of charging.  We're going to test this thoroughly in our review.  Stay tuned for our full review which should be up within a few weeks.
