Welcome to our new feature called 'What's On Your Phone?'.  Here is where we and other tech enthusiasts will unlock our devices to highlight our essential apps and/or cases we use on our daily driver(s).

My name is Analie Cruz. I am a gadget addict. I write for an awesome tech site called TechWeLike. The site is written by women for women. I review all types of consumer electronics from cell phones, tablets, and headphones. With access to so many devices, I've realized that there's just some apps that I always need and download. These are  additional apps to the additional  stock apps like Gmail, and Google hangouts that I use religiously.

Google Play Music

Google Play Music App Logo Material Design - Analie Cruz - YummyANA - Gadget Girl Switching from phone to phone transferring music files would take too long and I just don't have time for that. I love having access  my playlists with the click of a button.  Google Music is my choice for all my MJ tunes on the go and at home.  Link

SwiftKey

I've been rocking with SwiftKey for the pay 3 years.  While is not so necessary on phones anymore, on tablets  (with eight inch screens or bigger) SwiftKey helps typing. I love the emoji feature that suggests emojis based on the words used.

Samsung Camera / Sony PlayMemories

Sam Sony App
Two of my cameras (Samsung NX30 and Sony NEX-6) are mirrorless and have WiFi capabilities AKA Smart Cameras. I love being able to take high quality pictures and being able to share on social media or on my posts with ease. I can't ever go back to a regular camera without Wi-Fi on it.

Nike Running App

I am not the healthiest person around but I'm trying to do better. One of the things I'm trying to impenetrable is running. There are quite a few apps to track outdoor running. But there aren't many that track your progress on the treadmill (my main form of cardio). The recent updates have given me new motivation on current workouts as well.

Transit

If you do follow me on social media, you'll see that during the week my techie friends and I are constantly on the go. While not always on time, the New York City public MTA can get you pretty much anywhere. I use transit to let me know the status on train locations and arrival times. And since NYC now has service in a lot of underground subway stations, I check the app constantly. Even when I'm not in a rush, I check it to see if it it's right or at least close.

WhatsApp Messenger

I have quite a few messaging apps and I use them all one way or another. But WhatsApp allows me to contact friends and family overseas with ease. I have also been using this app for years, so it's been my go-to app before Google hangouts fixed their quirks and texting was unlimited. It also works cross platforms, so I know I can rely on it.

Photo Grid

As I started before I love social media (on a healthy level I believe). I don't like to spam my newsfeed with multiple pictures, so Photo Grid is my go-to app for making collages or fitting a picture into that pesky Instagram square.

Sudoku

I'm not big on mobile gaming, since I usually stand up on the subway rides. But when I need to find a little distraction, Sudoku is my game. I enjoy figuring out puzzles and the game hasn't gotten old to me. I need games that I can start and finish without commitment.
