apple watch lead
So its 2015 and we know many of you guys are  just itching to get your hands on the upcoming Apple Watch.   Apple wanted focus on making the wearable’s battery life last as long as they could.  So earlier today, 9to5Mac got a big scoop on what the early adopters can expect in regards to battery.

At this point, there’s nothing ‘magical’ about the battery life.

While hoping to achieve all-day battery initially, looks like the reality will be closer to 2.5 to 4 hours of constant usage w/ the screen always on.  Depending on your usage of course.  Here and there usage throughout the day is shaping up to be more like close to 19 hours.  In standby + low-power modes can get you 2 to 3 days of juice on a single charge.

Apple made sure not skimp on the power as they gave it a processor similar to the A5 CPU in the 4S + iPad 2.  But today’s battery technology can only get you so far.   Perhaps the 2nd-gen Apple Watch will achieve the all-day juice Apple had originally hoped for.   As the 1st-gen will be on par w/ everything else leaving the Pebble still the battery king of smartwatches.
