apple beats deal
We all knew what Apple was gonna do w/ Beats when they acquired the company last year and it looks like they’re wasting no time at all.  According to Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac, Apple has been hard at work to transform Beats Music into Apple’s music streaming service.

Apple’s new streaming service will be powered by Beats Music and cheaper than the competition.

The service will take many cues from Beats Music like Activities, Mixes, and Playlists.   Along w/ being able to search through iTunes + Beats Music catalogs.  The Beats color scheme of Black + Red will no longer be present as user accounts will be merged w/ Apple ID profiles.

It will be available on iOS, Apple TV, and even Android.  That’s not all.  Apple is looking to undercut the crowd w/ a $7.99 monthly price tag.  Most music streaming services ask for $9.99 on a monthly basis.   Word has it that will should be ready to launch sometime this year w/ an unveiling at this year’s WWDC kicking off this summer.
