Welcome to 'What's On Your Phone?'.  Here is where we and other tech enthusiasts will unlock our devices to highlight our essential apps and/or cases we use on our daily driver(s).

Terrance Gaines, AKA BrothaTech here, and my passion is hardware. I’m an unapologetic Apple enthusiast, and you can find me giving my readers the lowdown on all things tech, with slight bias on Apple gear, on my site BrothaTech.com. In addition to technology publisher, I do iOS and Mac Repairs, as well as consult small biz owners on how to use their tech to do great things.

Evernote

The number 1 app I rock with on a daily basis is Evernote. from quick notes, organizing content for my site, to daily to-do & task lists, to organizing my business, Evernote handles it all. No matter what device I’m using, Evernote keeps all my info in sync and within arm’s length.

Copy

I also use cloud storage to synchronize all my business files across all my devices, as well as collaborate with others. I use Copy over some of the other popular cloud storage services because it was created by Barracuda Networks, who know a thing or two about networking and security, and they were very generous with their free storage space when they launched Copy.

Google Voice

Personally, since I ditched my land line, and professionally, as my “business” line, I use Google Voice to use just one phone for all my communication needs. I hate carrying around multiple devices, so Google Voice is essential to my daily operations.

Bit.ly

Since I do a ton of writing and sharing content while I’m on the go, I use Bit.ly to quickly save and create short URL’s to share information (and conserve character space) on all my social networks.

OnStar Remote Link

I’m a car guy and I know the importance of letting your car “warm up" before you start driving. So the OnStart Remote Link app lets me start my car from anywhere, in addition to unlocking doors and sending directions to my navigation system.
