Kicking things off w. Apple Spring Forward event is some news on Apple TV.  Apple TV, you might ask?  Yeah.  Definitely a curveball many didn’t see coming for today’s expectations of things to announce.  But here we are.

Turns out that Apple and HBO have been getting quite chummy as HBO’s standalone streaming service has just been announced as HBO Now.  The streaming service will launch as an Apple TV exclusive.  Launching sometime in April, it will be priced at $14.99 per month.  It will also be available for any Apple device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, etc).

HBO Now offers their entire library of original content and much more.   Customers who sign up in April  will get one month free.  And to make things better, Apple is dropping the price of their streaming box from $99 down to $69.

Quite an interesting move on Apple’s part.   What’re you’re thoughts on it?
