Microsoft is continuing their push of their native software to spreading to other platforms.  Microsoft’s managing director, Eric Horvitz had an interview w/ Rueters where he revealed their future plans for Cortana.

It probably won’t be as good as it is on Windows Phone though.

The House that Windows built is working on bring their virtual assistant Cortana to Android and iOS as its own app.  This is set to coincide w/ the assistant making its way to Windows 10 in the near future.  The new version of the assistant that will be able to be more aware and add more automation abilities to tasks.

They’re shooting for a fall release for the newer version of Cortana as for when she will arrive on Android + iOS, later this year.  Just don’t expect it to be as baked in as it is on Windows Phone (see Google Now for iOS).  Microsoft continues to focus more so on the software side of things under Nadella’s reign.  I, for one, am loving it.  How about you?
