In case you thought this was still the Microsoft of old, you are dead wrong.   Under the new leadership of their new CEO, the company has been all about better experiences via software.   Back in March, they discussed about bringing their virtual assistant Cortana to other platforms.

This morning, we have more details and a timeframe on when it is coming.   Android & iOS users should look for the Cortana to arrive as an app sometime this year.   Android is expected to get it sometime in late June as iOS will be later this year.  Of course it won’t be the full version that’s will be on Windows devices.   You’ll still be able to ask it questions and get notification support for sports, results, flights, and more.  If you have a Windows 10 PC you’ll be able to integrate the results w/ your computer as well.

So who’s looking forward to giving Cortana a shot on their Android or iOS device?
