And as part of their one last thing moment, Apple unveiled their new music-streaming service called Apple Music.  This is the result of them acquiring Beats Music last year and brings some things to the table to at least consider Apple for your audio streaming needs.

This could mean trouble for Tidal.

With the new service, you can stream through Apple’s massive iTunes library as well as access your own music library.  You get personal recommendations curated by music tastemakers (borrowed from Beats Music).  A feature called Connect allows artists to share lyrics, backstage photos, videos, or even their latest work directly to their fans form their iPhone.  Fans can comment, like or share the content via Messages, email, Facebook, or Twitter.

And lastly, a Beats 1 global radio station that is streaming all-day, everyday 24/7.  The station will be run by 3 DJs across the world w/ Zane Lowe in Los Angeles, Ebro Darden in NYC, and Julie Adenuga in London.  The station also includes exclusive interviews, guest hosts, and best music across the globe.  

 Listeners around the globe will hear the same great programming at the same time. Exciting programs on Beats 1 will offer exclusive interviews, guest hosts and the best of what’s going on in the world of music.

Apple Music will be priced at $10 monthly for a single user and $14 for a family bundle of up to 6 people.  Those of you on the fence can sign up to a free 3-month trial o f the service for a limited time.  It will be on all things iOS, Mac, & PC on June 30th and coming to Android & Apple TV in the fall.
