E3-Pre-Event-Promo
EA finished up earlier today their big press event and they’re ready to get us gaming.  In case you weren’t able to watch the livestream, we got you covered.  Consider everything below to be your cheatsheet.

Star Wars: Battlefront

Yes, Star Wars is coming to your next-gen consoles (PS4 + Xbox One) and PC on November 17th.  The new game will allow you to do all of things you wanted to do like flying in a TIE fighter, taking down an AT-ST, and fighting w/ lightsabers (not like that God-awful Star Wars Kinect game).  The live gameplay above is pre-alpha as the developers still have a lot more to do.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Mass Effect returns w/ another title bringing a new online component, the all-terrain vehicle Mako is back, and an armor sporting the lovely N7 designation.  The trailer doesn’t really give us much to work with but its in the works.  Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to launch sometime during the holiday season of 2016.

Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst

We knew it was coming and today it was made official.  The sequel to Mirror’s Edge is called Catalyst and will be launching on February 23rd, 2016.  The new trailer shows a younger Faith looking to resist the current surveillance state that offers more parkour & combat and a new story.  The game will be released for PC, PS4, & Xbox One.

Need For Speed

EA hooked us up w/ more info on the Need for Speed reboot.  It will launch later this year on November 3rd for PC, PS4, & Xbox One.  EA let everyone that this will offer richest customization ever seen in a NFS game.  The trailer above shows off lots of drifting and rain to make it all happen.   Looking good.

NBA Live 16

The 2016 edition of NBA Live is set to launch later this year on September 29th for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, & Xbox One.  Coincidentally on the same day as their competitor: NBA 2K16.  It will offer a new Live Motion engine that utilizes real-time physics & thousands of new animations.  Also new is an improved passing/catching system, better shot system w/ pick & roll situations.  Lastly, a new feature called GameFace HD which allows you to bring you own face to the game via smartphone camera & app.

Madden NFL 16

So what’s new for Madden this year?  For starters, EA is bringing fantasy football into Madden w/ their new Draft Champions mode.  It will allow you to make your own squad, take part in draft rounds, and take to the field against human or AI players.  You now have improved passing options for both quarterbacks & receivers.  You can choose between 3 different catch types for different situations like stylish aggressive or safer yet less flashy.  It will be available on August 25th for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, & Xbox One.
