Design/Comfort

Razer made sure to keep the cool of the headset within its design. It touts Razer's signature mostly Black color scheme w/ Lime Green accents on the cups and the wires.  The headband is adjustable as it is padded w/ leather-like padding as well as on the ear cushions.   The unidirectional analog mic is adjustable as it can be raised up to get out of the way.

While the look is awesome, the fit of the headset is a little snug.  Not to the point of giving you a headache but just not as comfortable as I would like them to be.  It's a decent fit for all-day wear for those like me who wears glasses.  You can still use it almost all day as well as listen to music all day on your smartphone and such.

Sound

Razer made sure to equip it w/ the finest tech for audio needs while gaming.  They made sure to use large 40mm neodymium magnet drivers and they sound amazing.  You get great highs, mids, lows, and bass performance out of these cans.  Offering truly superior audio quality that I've heard thus far on a pair of gaming headsets.  The ear cups are closed for better noise isolation and offers great audio quality via sound + the actual mic.  The Krakens does come w/ its own stereo headset adapter so it will avoid shelling out an additional $25 for it. With it you can Mute your mic as well as control the game + chat audio balance on the headset from it.  Awesome job Razer team.

Razer offers superior sound quality on these gaming cans.

TG 2 Cents

Our hunt isn't quite over but we know what a high-quality audio sounds like w/ the Krakens.  Razer continues to honor its brand w/ these.  Although I prefer the fit of Cloud IIs by Hyper X the sound quality on the Krakens are truly sublime.  I'm glad that you have the option to plug these into your smartphone or tablet to take advantage of that great audio quality while on the go.  Xbox One owners need to really check these out pair of gaming headphones.

To Buy Or Not To Buy

Priced at $100, it will be hard for Xbox One owners to ignore.  Especially w/ the fact that it ships w/ a stereo headset adapter will save you some $$$ by picking this up.  For those of you w/ older controllers anyways.
