Along w/ the many unveilings at the Google event, we have the new Chromecasts (the sequel to the 1st and one specifically for audio). The Chromecasts sold like hotcakes last year as these are new-and-improved from that.
The new Chromecast for 2015 offers a new design as you can see a bigger circular design w/ a longer HDMI cable to plug into a lot easier. On the inside we now have beefed up internals like dual-band Wi-Fi and smarter connection for Wi-Fi. You can also queue up content via the new Fast Play feature within the new Chromecast app. You also get universal voice search, Spotify & Google Photos support.
Now moving onto the Chromecast Audio, it is the same thing but made strictly for music. So instead of hooking it up to your HDTV, you plug it into your sound system or Bluetooth speakers. So instead of streaming from your device to your speakers, you can save on your battery life but doing it this way. Google also talks about multi-room support coming in the near future.
Both peripherals will cost you $35 each and is on sale right now.
