DSC03443Lenovo is making sure to utilize IFA for a great opportunity to unveil all of their latest and greatest computers.  These new machines (mostly new members of the ideapad & ideacentre family) are powered by AMD or Intel chipsets as well as Chrome OS, and Windows are heading your way.  

We were fortunate enough to check out most of them in person yesterday at a private event in NYC.   They all look beautiful in-person and can’t wait to check them.   Let’s dive into them.  Lenovo roll call!

ideapad 100S laptop

Arriving in your choice of an 11.6inch screen w/ a quad-core Intel Atom CPU, up to 32GB storage and 2 USB 2.0 ports or a 14inch screen Intel Celeron CPU, up to 64GB of storage, 1 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, HDMI, and a SD card slot.  Both sizes are running Windows 10 Home, Intel HD GPU, and up to 2GB of RAM.  The 11.6inch starts at $189 while the 14inch starts at $259.

Equipped w/ a 14inch display, up to a 6th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, choice of up to 1TB HD/1TB SSHD Hybrid drive/256GB SSD, stereo speakers powered by Dolby Home Theatre, up to 5 hours of battery life.  The 300S starts at $479.

ideapad 500S

With your choice of a 13.3inch, 14inch, or 15.6inch screen sizes, the 500S offers a bit more in regards to performance and entertainment.  On the processing side of things, you can options up to a 6th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU.  Running Windows 10 Home, choice of up to 1TB HD or 500GB SSHD or 128GB SSD, up to 8GB of RAM, Intel HD or NVIDIA GeForce 920M, up to 4.5 hours of battery  life, stereo speakers Dolby Home Theatre, 2 USB 3.0 + 1 USB 2.0, HDMI, and 4-in-1 SD card reader.  Pricing to be announced.

This guy arrives in a 14inch or 15inch screen option.   It is also powered by up to 6th Intel Core i7 CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 1TB HD or 1TB SSHD storage, choice of AMD Radeon R5 M330 or Intel HD, USB 3.0, HDMI, & VGA ports, 4-in-1 SD card reader, up to 4 hours of battery life, Dolby Advanced Audio built-in, and even an option to add an optical drive for those of you who can’t let go.  The 14inch starts at $399, the15inch starts at $549 and the 17inch at $449.  .  

ideapad 500 Intel or AMD CPUs

This machine is equipped w/ the same options as on the ideapad 300 but only has a 14inch & 15inch screen options.   They also has JBL Speakers w/ Dolby Advanced Audio, the option for a backlit keyboard, Intel’s RealSense 3D camera available on the 15inch configuration.  The 14inch starts at $399 & the 15inch $599 for the AMD models while the 14inch starts at $499 and the 15inch goes for $849 for the Intel models.

ideacentre AIO 700

Moving on to the all-in-one desktops, the newest ideacentres arrive in 23.8inch LED display w/ 3840 x 2160 resolution + 10-point touchscreen or a 27inch LED display HD or UHD.  Both are running Windows 10 and a NVIDIA GeForce HTX 950A 2G GPU.  The 23.8inch size starts at $1099 while the 27inch size goes for $1899.

ideapad MIIX 700

Now onto their tablets, the new 12inch ideapad MIIX has arrived.   Think of it as Lenovo’s version of Microsoft’s Surface – which is a great device to emulate BTW.  You have the choice of running Windows 10 Pro or Home, up to a 6th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB SSD, Intel HD, up to 9 hours of battery life, folio case w/ keyboard dock, and options for Intel RealSense 3D camera & LTE connectivity.  Pricing starts at around $699.

Chromebook 100S

And lastly, moving on to Lenovo’s Chromebooks. Powered by Intel’s Pentium N2840 CPU, running the latest version of Chrome OS, up to 2GB of RAM, 16GB of physical storage, 8 hour battery life, thousands of apps, 1 USB 2.0 + 1 USB 3.0, and HDMI ports.  The 100S pricing starts at $179.
