Its time for the smartwatch who gave everyone the blueprint for round watch designs to return.  The Moto 360 has returned and is now in multiple flavors to fit your every need or style.  The rumors were pretty much dead on in regards to the look but there was still some more details that were still a surprise. 

Moto 360 2.0 is more stylish than ever thanks to Moto Maker.  

The new Moto 360 now arrives in 3 different sizes w/ the 42mm, 46mm, and women’s size.  The Power button has been moved from the 3PM positioning to 2PM.  Along w/ the new lugs, you now have quick release bands to go with it.  In regards to the internals you now have a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, 4GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, and IP67 rating for being dust/water-resistant.   Of course the bigger the size/bezel, the bigger the battery.  The 42mm  + women’s size are equipped w/ a 300 mAh battery while the 46mm has a 2 days battery life.

On the software side of things, Motorola made sure to make add some new features as well.  For starters, we have the new Ambient Display mode to keep your watchface on while conserving your battery.   Next up we have the Moto Body – which is a hub for all of your health stats.  This tracks & monitors all of your steps, calories, heart activity, coaching & feedback.  And lastly we have Live Dials, which allows complete customization of some of Motorola’s stock watchfaces.  From colors, accents, as well as dials to show off battery life, weather, fitness, or app shortcuts, etc.

Also, the rumor about the Sport version was dead on.  It will be a fitness-focused version of the Moto 360, obviously.  It have a rubberized band, built-in GPS, on-board music playback, and AnyLight hybrid display that makes it easy to view in both indoor & outdoor lightning.  It will become available at a later date.  

Pricing will range from $250 to $430 depending on what combinations of bands, tools, bezels, etc. via Moto Maker.  It will goes on sale today on Motorola’s site and will become available later this month at Best Buy, Google Play, Verizon, and new partner Nordstrom.
