On Friday, we got a lovely package from Google as it was the latest pure Android devices.  Now we've already grabbed the official version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow on our beat up Nexus 6.  What we all want to know about is the new Nexus hardware that will come along w/ it.

Enter the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P, the pure Android devices for 2015 from Huawei & LG.  LG is handling the mid-range device and Huawei is in charge of the premium one.  At 1st glance, both companies have done a great job in regards to the build and the distinction between the two.

  • The Nexus 5X is not as bad as you or I may have thought.  It is super lightweight and well-made as is utilizing a more polycarbonate rather than the cheap budget plastic you might have anticipated.
  • For those of you who were concerned about it being a terrible design flaw, the camera hump on the Nexus 6P is barely there and super minimal.  It matches the super-sleek aluminum construction for probably the best Nexus ever made.
  • Google has a new Camera app and w/ the new devices.  It takes photos really fast, low-light photos are just OK but w/ the help of HDR, it looks really good.  We'll spend a few more days w/ it before we post up our full camera test.
  • Also, the fingerprint scanner or Nexus Imprint is really damn good - especially for Google's 1st time out utilizing them.  Of course, there are of course faster ones out on the market right now like the Note5 or the latest iPhones but these work just fine.

We'll be expanding our coverage on both of these devices throughout the week so you might want to stay locked din our site and YouTube page for when it all goes live.
