marshmallow android 6.0We kind of all saw this coming along w/ rumors and seeing the way things move behind the scenes.  But it looks it is really happening.   According to the folks over at the Wall Street Journal, Chrome OS and Android will soon unify to be one.

More specifically, Chrome OS will fold into Android to make Google all about Android.  Does this mean the end for Chromebooks which have been doing quite well?  No, it doesn’t.  It is said that Chromebooks will still exist but under a new name.  The report also suggests that the new combined OS will be able to run on PCs, therefore expanding the Google Play Store beyond the reach of just smartphones & tablets.

This is probably why the Pixel C is running Android instead of Chrome OS.  Just a thought.  Who knows?  We might just see a preview at I/O 2016.  Until then, what’re your thoughts on the Chrome OS moving into Android?
