nikon d500Nikon looks to finally enter the race for better videos on their DSLRs like the rest of the camera industry.  Earlier this week, they unveiled their latest from their DX line w/ the D500.  This combines the power of their high-end full-frame shooters w/ the ease of use of their entry-level ones.

For starters you have a 20.9MP CMOS sensor, a new 153-point autofocus system, a new EXPEED 5 image processor, a tilting 3.2inch LCD touchscreen display, ISO range from 100-51,200, capable of shooting 10fps, dual card slots, can share images via Bluetooth/NFC/Wi-Fi, headphones/mic jacks, HDMI, and can shoot 4K video @30fps/1080p @60fps.

Although this is a great in-between shooter, don’t expect this to have entry-level pricing.  The D500 body only will cost you $2000 while w/ the Nikkor f/2.8-4 16-80mm lens will cost you just over $3000.  NIkon’s latest & possibly greatest will launch sometime in March.
