iPhone 6 6 Plus liveWireless charging.  It has been around for a while now utilized mainly by Android and recently made its way into luxury vehicles.  It uses a Qi chip inside that when laid upon another chip (from say a charging plate/stand), it will charge your device cord-free.

Don’t look for this on the iPhone 7 – maybe next year’s model.

Just as may have thought that Apple would continue to be slow at adapting current technologies, the latest report on an upcoming iPhone says otherwise.  Yes, the Apple looks to finally add some form of wireless charging into the mix.  According to a report from the folks over at Bloomberg, they are working on a form of inductive charging similar to 3rd-party companies have done w/ the Apple Watch.  But w/ a farther range to charge.

As far as the iPhone 7, all we know is that they may ditch the headphone jack to make the Lighting port their one port to rule them all.  Does this make you want to wait for the 7s or nah?   Sound off.
