Earlier this morning, SoundCloud rolled out an update to both of its Android & iOS apps which added their brand-new service. Say hello to their subscription service: SoundCloud Go. If you’ve been keeping up, they’ve procured licensing deals w/ Sony Music, Universal Music, & Warner Music. So this shouldn’t really be a surprise.
As far as SoundCloud Go goes, it is looking to go up against apps like Apple Music, Play Music, Spotify, and such. Their advantage is that they can offer your favorite tunes from major artists as well as from the independent & unsigned artists. You also get the joys of ad-free music and offline listening.
Those of you interested, your can give it a spin as part of its 30-day trial. Those of you looking to keep the party going, it will cost you $10 per month.
