The partial unveiling for the long-awaited Tesla Model 3 livestream is happening at this exact moment. The hype is real and interested consumers have been lining up since yesterday at Tesla locations across the country. Reservations for the more affordable electric vehicle were supposed to kick off after the event ended but they wanted to avoid their servers getting slammed.
So lo and behold, you can put your bid in for one online right now instead of heading to your local Tesla store. Now pre-ordering gets you a spot but previous Tesla owners get priority, though. The Model 3 is expected to begin shipping during the later half of 2017 on the west coast as availability moves eastbound.
FYI: the Model Reservation agreement states that your reservation can be cancelled at any time for a full refund. Also, it can’t be transferred w/o approval from Tesla. So who’s putting their $1,000 down for one?
