android instant appsOne of the many announcements from yesterday was the unveiling of Android Instant Apps.  This is kind of a big deal for the future of Android whether you realize it or not.  Instant Apps allows users to use apps from a link w/o having to download it.  Crazy, right?

How it works is that after hitting a link instead of going to the mobile web, Google Play will download a few parts to give users a small experience of the app.  After you get a taste, you can decide if you want to download the app.  The process it currently limited to web apps of 4MB for now but launches quickly.  

This will work on all Android devices going all the way back to Jelly Bean.  Instant Apps will be making its way to users later this year.
